Perfect seams

I am getting ready to finish my iPad mini cover this morning....so I went on line to look for some ideas of how to make the side seams look especially good.  Here are some of the links that I looked at:


This first one made a gorgeous finish for a sweater.  I'll give it a try before I look more.

The pattern did not lend itself to the beautiful join that is illustrated in the above link.  I am going to think about the possibility of crocheting it together to get a pretty finish.

Joining when knitting in the round
